Title: Repeals Certain Oil and Gas Regulations
Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that repeals certain oil and gas regulations.
Repeals provisions related to the beneficial use of produced water (Sec 707).
Repeals provisions related to the establishment of a road application plan that provides for the protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution with respect to water quality (Sec 707).
Repeals provisions that prohibit produced water from being applied (Sec 707):
Within 150 of bodies of water;
Within Zone I or Zone II of a wellhead protection area;
To sections of unpaved road having a grade exceeding 10 percent; and
To concrete, asphalt, or other impervious surfaces.
Repeals provisions related to the establishment of temporary regulations for produced water (Sec 707).
Repeals the powers and duties of the Department related to road application plans (Sec 707).
Reduces the reporting threshold of spills onto the grounds at a well site to (Sec 704):
More than 2 barrels of oil within a 24 hour period; or
More than 5 barrels of brine within a 24 hour period if the total dissolved solids concentration is greater than or equal to 10,000 mg/kg.
