Title: Prohibits Using Private Funds for Campaign Election Expenses

Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits private donations from being used for campaign election expenses.

Highlights:

 

  • Prohibits the use of private funding for any election related expenses including, but not limited to, the following circumstances (Sec 1):

    • Unless otherwise legally authorized, during a declared state emergency, no state, local, or election official of any level may accept, solicit, or utilize any private funds for election-related purposes; and

    • These circumstances will not apply to specific campaign related funds for either candidate.

  • Establishes the date of gubernatorial approval as the date this bill would go into effect (Sec 2).
