Title: Requires Department of State to Publish Presidential Primary Report
Vote to pass a bill that requires the Department of State to publish a report on the 2020 presidential primary.
Requires the Pennsylvania Department of State to, no later than 60 days after the 2020 general primary election, issue a report on the election results to the chairperson and minority chairperson of the State Government Committee of the Senate and of the House of Representatives (Sec. 1).
Requires that a copy of the aforementioned report also be made available on the Department of State’s publicly accessible website (Sec. 1).
Requires the election report to document all of the following information relating to the 2020 general primary election, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):
For each county, the number of applications for an absentee ballot which were received and subsequently approved by the county board of elections;
For each county, the number of mail-in-ballot applications which were received by the county board of elections and subsequently approved;
For each county, the number of applications for absentee ballots voted by the electors;
For each county, the number of qualified electors voting by provisional ballot;
For each county, the number of applications for an absentee ballot by an individual not registered as an elector at the time of the application;
For each county, the number of polling places located and consolidated in the county; and
For each county, the number of absentee ballots and mail-in ballots that were challenged under the Pennsylvania Election Code.
Specifies that this act will take effect immediately upon passage (Sec. 2).
