Title: Authorizes the Reopening of Bowling Alleys and Skating Rinks
Vote to override the governor's veto on a bill that authorizes bowling alleys and skating rinks to re-open following the public health order related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Requires any skating rinks or bowling alleys be opened and resume operations provided all of the following apply, including (Sec. 1):
The establishment was in existence on March 10, 2020, or had a valid certificate of occupancy and business license issued by that date;
Total indoor capacity is limited to 50 percent of the authorized fire capacity, excluding employees;
All employees answer a health questionnaire and have their temperature taken daily prior to working, and any employee showing symptoms or with a fever is not allowed to enter the establishment;
All employees are required and all visitors are strongly encouraged to wear facemasks;
Contactless check-in is available;
Sanitation spray bottles with disinfectant are available throughout the establishment; and
The following practices are being maintained:
Equipment is used in a manner to ensure social distancing of at least 6 feet;
Signage directs foot traffic for social distancing; Employees monitor for social distancing to ensure equipment is being cleaned with disinfectant after each user.
Requires, if House Bill 594, 2019 Regular Session, becomes law, then subdivision (4) of subsection (a) of Section 2, to be read as rewritten (Sec. 2):
The outdoor food and drink service seating capacity is limited to one of the following:
50 percent of the current indoor seating capacity of the establishment, or 100 customers, whichever is less; or
If the establishment is located in a minor league baseball stadium, 10 percent of the spectator capacity of the stadium.
NOTE: A THREE- FIFTHS MAJORITY OF THE ELECTED MEMBERS IS REQUIRED TO OVERRIDE A GOVERNOR'S VETO.
