Vote to pass a bill that requires milk be defined as the lacteal secretion obtained by the complete milking of a hooved animal.
Requires the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services to develop and implement a plan to enforce the prohibition of labeling any plant-based product that is misbranded as milk (Sec. 1).
Defines “milk” as the lacteal secretion obtained by the milking of a hooved animal, including any member of the order Cetariodactyla, including a member of the family (Sec. 1):
Bovidae, including cattle, water buffalo, sheep, goats, and yaks;
Cervidae, including deer, reindeer, and moose; and
Equidae, including horses and donkeys.
