Title: Requires Refunds or Credit for Certain Short-Term Rental Reservations During Public Health Emergency
Vote to pass a bill that requires refunds or credit for certain short-term rental reservations during a public health emergency.
Requires short-term rental housing accommodations, real estate brokers, and any person that collects payments from guests to provide a refund for future use within a year of the initial reservation (Sec. 1).
Requires guests who made a reservation on or after June 1, 2020 to provide a cancellation notice thirty days prior to the date of booking in order to receive credit (Sec. 1).
Establishes that this bill takes effect immediately upon passage (Sec. 2).
Establishes that this bill expires on the first day of the fourth month following the end of the public health emergency, the state of emergency, or travel restrictions, whichever occurs later (Sec. 2).
