Title: Extends Telehealth Benefits through March 15, 2021
Vote to pass a bill that extends telehealth benefits through March 1, 2021.
Authorizes doctors to prescribe prescriptions via telehealth services (Sec. 1).
Prohibits telehealth providers from charging a facility fee (Sec. 1).
Requires health providers to provide payment plans for any patient who is unable to pay any expenses related to telehealth (Sec. 1).
Requires all telehealth services to provide the same coverage for medical advice, diagnosis, care, or treatment as it would pertain to in-person services (Sec. 3).
Prohibits telehealth providers that receive a reimbursement for a covered telehealth service from seeking any payment from the insured who received such services (Sec. 3).
Prohibits any efforts to limit health insurers or hospitals from conducting reviews on how they can provide telehealth services to their patients (Sec. 3).
Prohibits health providers from reducing the amount of reimbursement paid to a telehealth provider (Sec. 5).
Establishes that this bill takes effect immediately upon passage, and lasts until March 15, 2021 (Sec 6).
