Title: Prohibits Employers from Requiring Employees to Have Implants

Vote to pass a bill that prohibits employers from requiring employees to have devices implanted into their bodies.

Highlights:

 

  • Prohibits an employer from requiring an employee or prospective employee to take actions including but not limited to (Sec. 3):

    • Implanting a device into their body;

    • Injecting a device into their body; or

    • Ingesting, inhaling, or otherwise incorporating a device into their body.

  • Defines “device” as any acoustic, optical, mechanical, electronic, medical, or molecular device (Sec. 2).

  • Prohibits an employer from discriminating against an employee with respect to the employee’s compensation or other benefits, or any term or condition of employment, for refusing to take any action listed in this bill (Sec. 3).

  • Authorizes an employee or prospective employee to bring a civil action against an employer for violations of the provisions of this bill (Sec. 4).

  • Authorizes a court that finds that an employer has violated any provision of this bill to award the prevailing employee or prospective employee actual damages and court costs and reasonable attorney fees (Sec. 4).
