Title: Exempts from Regulations Certain Uses of Alcohol by Postsecondary Institutions
Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that exempts from alcoholic beverage regulations for certain uses of alcohol by postsecondary institutions.
Authorizes a postsecondary institution to produce and securely store the following amounts of alcohol products each year for the purposes of research and educational courses instructing students in the production and serving of distilled spirits, malt beverages, or wine, including up to (Sec. 1):
200 gallons of distilled spirits;
200 gallons of malt beverage; and
200 gallons of wine.
Specifies that the production and storage of alcohol under this bill is exempt from any licensing or tax required by this title (Sec. 1).
Requires and any distilled spirit, malt beverage, or wine produced under this bill may only be consumed for classroom instruction or research and may not be donated, sold, or offered for sale (Sec. 1).
Prohibits any individual under the age of 21 from consuming any distilled spirits, malt beverages, and wine produced under this bill, or from being a student in a course offered under this bill (Sec. 1).
