Vote to pass a bill that establishes a rebuttable presumption in favor of joint physical custody of a minor child.
Establishes a rebuttable presumption in the determination of child custody that specifies that equal or approximately equal time spent between the child and each parent will be in the best interest of the minor (Sec. 1).
Requires a court to determine the appropriate physical care, custody, and control of a minor following the consideration of factors such as a criminal conviction (Sec. 2).
Authorizes a court to require parents to participate in a home study custody evaluation or mediation when determining joint custody (Sec. 3).
