Vote to amend and pass a bill that requires issues ordered by the state Department of Health last no longer than 14 days.
Establishes that no order from the Department of Health shall be effective for a period exceeding 14 days (Sec. 3701.13).
Establishes a joint committee on agency rule review to advise and assist state agencies in preparing the base and revised inventories of regulatory restrictions (Sec. 101.354).
Requires the committee to submit a report each year to the speaker of the house and the president of the senate on the specified percentage reductions in regulatory restrictions (Sec. 101.354).
Requires the committee to create and maintain a system that state agencies use to enter regulatory restriction data, create required inventories, and transmit copies of inventories, and reports, including a website that allows members of the public to request information about regulatory restrictions (Sec. 101.355).
Authorizes the director of health to apply to the committee to approve the extension of an order for a period beyond 14 days (Sec. 101.36).
Specifies that a majority vote of the members of the committee, including an affirmative vote from at least 3 members of the house and 3 members of the senate, is required to approve the order extension beyond 14 days (Sec. 101.36).
