  • Requires all individual and group health benefit plans issued or renewed in this state to provide coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility and fertility preservation services (Sec 2).

  • Requires coverage to include three completed oocyte retrievals with unlimited embryo transfers (Sec 2). 

  • Prohibits any restrictions or limitations on the coverage of fertility medications that are different from the restrictions or limitations on any other medications covered under the health care plan (Sec 2). 

  • Prohibits any deductibles, copayments, benefit maximums, waiting periods, or other limitations on coverage for the diagnosis and treatment for infertility to be different from any other limitation imposed on services not related to fertility (Sec 2). 

  • Authorizes a religious employer to request an exclusion from coverage in a health benefit plan if the required coverage conflicts with the religious organization’s religious beliefs and practices (Sec 2). 

  • Specifies that this act applies to health benefit plans issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2022 (Sec 4).
