• Specifies that this section does not apply to (Sec. 1):

• Anyone picking up or dropping off a student, provided the firearm remains inside a motor vehicle;

• Anyone specifically authorized by name in writing by the school board to possess a firearm on school property; and

• Any law enforcement officer, when on or off duty, or serving as a school resource officer.
