Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds for the 2020 and 2021 fiscal years.

Highlights:

• Appropriates $50 million to the legislative coordinating council for a response to the coronavirus provided that the director of the budget submit each request of a state agency for expenditures from the coronavirus response account to respond to the pandemic (Sec. 23).

• Appropriates 17.5 million to the Division of Health Care Finance within the Department of Health and Environment to fund the coronavirus prevention fund of the state finance council (Sec. 70).

• Requires all money in the coronavirus prevention fund to be used for the purposes of coronavirus treatment and prevention in the state of Kansas (Sec. 128).

• Authorizes the state finance council to approve the disbursement and expenditure of money from the coronavirus prevention fund for such purposes (Sec. 128).

• Appropriates $15.5 million to operations, including official hospitality, of the legislature (Sec. 26).

• Appropriates $1.73 million to the state treasurer operating fund (Sec. 34).

• Appropriates $112.06 million to the judicial branch for judiciary operations (Sec. 42).

• Increases allocations to the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System from $12.84 million to $14.09 million (Sec. 43).

• Appropriates $9 million for data mitigation migration for the Office of Information, Technology Services (Sec. 51).

• Appropriates $50.77 million to the division of vehicles operating fund within the Department of Revenue (Sec. 58).
