Vote to adopt a conference report and pass a bill that increases the state budget by more than $1 billion.
Appropriates $60 million of the home security fund-state appropriation towards increasing local temporary shelter capacity (Pg. 59).
Appropriates $15 million of the general fund-state appropriation for fiscal year 2021 towards grants to support the operation, maintenance, and service costs of permanent supportive housing projects (Pg. 62).
Appropriates $40 million of the Washington housing trust account-state appropriation towards production and preservation of affordable housing (Pg. 68).
Authorizes the department of social and health services, after May 1, 2020, to transfer general fund-state appropriations for fiscal year 2020 among programs and subprograms after approval by the director of the office of financial management (Pg. 122, 132 & 166).
Requires the department of social and health services and the health care authority, no later than December 31, 2021, to submit a waiver request to the federal department of health and human services to authorize presumptive medicaid eligibility determinations for clients preparing for acute care hospital discharge who many need long-term services and supports (Pg. 153 & 194).
