Vote to amend and pass a bill that establishes cost-sharing requirements for the coverage of insulin products.

Highlights:

• Requires a health plan issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2021, that provides coverage for prescription insulin drugs for the treatment of diabetes, to cap the total amount needed to pay for a covered insulin drug at an amount no more than $100 per 30 day supply (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes a health plan, beginning January 1, 2022, to submit a request to raise the cost-sharing amount for a 30 day supply by $5 for every $100 increase in the cost of an insulin product for the health plan from the previous plan year (Sec. 1).
