Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that increases the age for legal tobacco sales to 21 years old.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the sale, giving away, or furnishing of tobacco and e-cigarette products to an individual who (Sec. 1):

• Is 20 years old starting July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021; and

• 21 years old beginning July 1, 2021.

• Requires retail tobacco specialty businesses to prohibit individuals from entering their business if they are (Sec. 2):

• 20 years old starting July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021; and

• 21 years old beginning July 1, 2021.

• Specifies that this act does not apply to the purchase or possession of a cigar, cigarette, electronic cigarette, tobacco, or tobacco paraphernalia by an individual who is 18 years old and is (Sec. 12):

• On active duty in the United States Armed Forces; or

• A spouse or dependent of an individual who is on active duty in the United States Armed Forces.
