    • Choosing the geographic area subject to alternative transportation and workdays;

    • Funding alternative transportation and workdays; and

    • Paying the administrative costs of the fund.

  • Requires the division to (Sec. 1):

    • Work with public and private entities to promote the specified days as alternative transportation and workdays;

    • Encourage trip reductions through the use of public transportation, carpooling, teleworking, or other methods; and

    • Analyze the impact of these actions. 

  • Specifies that the appropriations made to the Trip Reduction Program are nonlapsing (Sec. 4).

  • Appropriates $500,000 to the Department of Environmental Quality for the Trip Reduction Program (Sec. 5).
