Vote to pass a bill that authorizes voting rights to convicted felons on parole.

Highlights:

• Authorizes individuals serving a sentence of parole to register and vote in any election (Sec. 3).

• Requires the Division of Adult Parole to provide in their initial meeting with an individual sentenced to parole the following information (Sec. 4):

• Their right to vote;

• How they may register to vote or update their voter registration record;

• How to obtain and cast a ballot; and

• How to obtain voter information materials.

• Appropriates $16,960 to the department of state cash fund for use in implementing this act (Sec. 6).
