Vote to pass a bill that classifies indirect forms of harassment on social media a crime.

Highlights:

• Amends the criminal offense of harassment to include the act of publishing repeated electronic communications on an Internet website, including a social media platform, in a manner likely to harass, abuse, or torment another individual (Sec. 1).

• Classifies the offense listed in the above highlight as a Class B misdemeanor, unless the offense was committed against a child under 18 years of age with the intent for the child to commit suicide or engage in conduct causing serious bodily injury to the child, in which case the offense is classified as a Class A misdemeanor (Sec. 1).
