Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that requires children under the age of 2 ride in rear-facing car seats.
Specifies that an individual commits an offense if the individual operating a vehicle transports a child younger than two years and does not put the child in a rear-facing child passenger safety seat, unless the child (Sec. 1):
Is taller than 3 feet, 4 inches; or
Weighs more than 40 pounds.
Specifies that a child with a medical condition that prevents the child from being secured in a rear-facing child passenger safety seat will be considered a defense to prosecution under the previous highlight (Sec. 1).
