Vote to pass a bill that authorizes sports betting.
Authorizes licensed sports betting operators to offer sports betting over the internet, including through mobile applications (Sec. 2).
Specifies that an internet sport is considered gambling or gaming if the operator is conducting any betting wagers at their casino (Sec. 4).
Specifies that the law does not apply to Indian lands or Indian tribes under a facility license approved by the National Indian Gaming Commission (Sec. 4).
Prohibits the placement of sports betting devices on public premises outside of its own casino (Sec. 4).
Requires that a sports betting operator only operate 1 internet sports betting platform and must prominently display its brand or affiliate (Sec. 4).
Authorizes the Michigan Gaming Control Board to have jurisdiction over the implementation and regulation of this act (Sec. 5).
Specifies that the board may enter into agreements, including with Indian tribes, for the purposes of sports betting enforcement (Sec. 5).
Specifies that the board is permitted to allow sports betting on amatuer or professional athletic events (Sec. 5).

Appropriates 30 percent of the tax revenue from Section 14 to the city in which the sports betting operator collecting the tax is located (Sec. 15).
Establishes the internet sports betting fund within the state treasury (Sec. 16).
Appropriates 65 percent of the tax revenue from Section 14 to the internet sports betting fund (Sec. 15).
Appropriates 52.5 percent% of the tax revenue from Section 7 to the internet sports betting fund (Sec. 15).
Requires that the board, after spending the necessary funds for regulating and enforcing this act, to transfer $1 million of the fund to the compulsive gaming prevention fund, and the remainder to the state school aid fund (Sec. 16).
Appropriates 5 percent of the tax revenue from Section 14 to the Michigan agriculture equine industry development fund (Sec. 15).
Appropriates 30 percent of the tax revenue from Section 7 to the city in which the sports betting operator collecting the tax is located (Sec. 15).
Appropriates 17.5 percent of the tax revenue from Section 7 to the Michigan strategic fund (Sec. 15).
