Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that prohibits smoking and vaping at state parks and beaches.

Highlights:

• Specifies that smoking on a state beach or in a state park, or disposing of used cigar or cigarette waste on a state beach or in a state park, is an infraction that can result in a fine of up to $25 (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that this prohibition does not apply to paved roadways or parking facilities of a state beach or state park (Sec. 2).

• Expands the definitions of “smoke” or “smoking” to include the use of an electronic smoking device that creates an aerosol or vapor, in any manner or in any form, or the use of any oral smoking device for the purpose of circumventing a prohibition on smoking (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that this prohibition will be enforced after signs have been posted at that state beach or state park (Sec. 2).
