Title: Authorizes Medical Cannabis on K-12 Campuses
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes medical cannabis on K-12 campuses.
Authorizes school districts, county boards of education, and charter schools to allow parents and guardians of students to administer medical marijuana to their child on school premises (Sec. 2).
Requires parents or guardians, when entering school premises to administer medical marijuana, to do all of the following, including, but not limited to (Sec. 2):
Sign in when entering school premises;
Provide a valid written medical recommendation of medical marijuana for the school to keep on file; and
Remove all medical marijuana from the school premises after administering the medical marijuana.
Specifies that medical marijuana may not be administered in a smokable or vapeable form (Sec. 2).
Requires the school to treat any records of the administration of medical marijuana to a student the same as medical records and to keep them confidential (Sec. 2 & 3).
