Title: Requires Ignition interlock Devices for Sentenced Drunk Drivers
Vote to pass a bill that requires ignition interlock devices for sentenced drunk drivers.
Requires than an individual who has a blood alcohol content (BAC) of between .08 and .10 shall lose their driver's license and right to operate a motor vehicle for a period of 30 days (Sec. 1).
Requires than an individual who has a BAC of between .10 and .15 shall lose their driver's license and right to operate a motor vehicle for a period of 45 days (Sec. 1).
Requires than an individual who has a BAC of higher than .15 shall lose their driver's license and right to operate a motor vehicle for a period of 90 days (Sec. 1).
Specifies that an ignition interlock device shall remain installed for a period of at least 3 months and not exceeding 6 months for an offender who has a BAC of .08 or higher but less than .10 (Sec. 3).
Specifies that an ignition interlock device shall remain installed for a period of at least 6 months and not exceeding a year for an offender whose BAC is at least .10 or higher but less than .15 (Sec. 3).
Specifies that an ignition interlock device shall remain installed for a period of at least one year and not exceeding 18 months for an offender whose BAC is at least .15 or higher (Sec. 3).
