Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds for fiscal years 2019-2021.
Appropriates $61.8 million for grants for University of Wisconsin System students both fiscal years (Sec. 20.235).
Appropriates $384.4 million for 2019-2020 and $450.2 million for 2020-2021 to spend on aids for special education and school age parents programs (Sec. 20.255).
Appropriates $566.5 million for 2019-2020 and $585.3 million for 2020-2021 to spend on “per pupil aid” for local educational programming (Sec. 20.255).
Appropriates $75.3 million for personal property tax exemptions both years (Sec. 20.835).
Authorizes the Building Commission to contract over $300 million in “additional public debt” for various purposes (Sec. 307e & 307g).
Authorizes the state to contract over $906 million in “additional public debt” for the University of Wisconsin System facilities’ acquirement, construction, development, enlargement or improvement (Sec. 293s & 293t).
Authorizes the building commission to authorize up to $40 million in general fund supported borrowing for assisting counties in establishing or constructing secured residential care centers for children and youth and attached juvenile detention facilities (Sec. 27m).
