Title: Requires Beverages Included in Kids' Meals to be Milk or Water
Vote to pass a bill that requires restaurants offer water and milk beverage options in kids meals in place of soda or pop options.
Requires a restaurant offering children’s meals include a beverage option of the following, including (Sec. 2):
Water, sparking water, or flavored water that has no added sugar or artificial sweeteners;
Flavored or unflavored milk in a serving of 8 ounces or less; or
100 percent fruit or vegetable juice in a serving of 8 ounces or less.
Specifies that nothing in this act shall prohibit restaurants from selling an alternative to the default water, milk, or juice beverages to the purchaser of the children’s meal (Sec. 2).
