Vote to pass a bill that appropriates $45 billion for state infrastructure repairs.

Highlights:

• Appropriates $70 million for grants to encourage electric vehicle charging infrastructure (Sec. 25).

• Appropriates various amounts of money for “miscellaneous capital improvements including construction, capital facilities, cost of planning, supplies, equipment, materials, services and all other expenses required to complete work” at multiple colleges and higher education institutions (Sec. 80)

• Appropriates various amounts of money for different projects at multiple colleges and universities (Sec. 85).

• Appropriates $2.24 million from the Multi-Modal Transportation Bond Fund to the Department of Transportation for construction costs, making grants and providing project assistance to the Regional Transportation Authority (Sec. 135).

• Appropriates $204 million to the Department of Transportation for construction costs, making grants and providing project assistance to municipalities, and special transportation districts, private non-profit carriers, and mass transportation carriers for the acquisition, construction, extension, reconstruction, and improvement of mass transportation facilities, including rapid transit, bus and other equipment used in connection for the purpose of downstate public transit systems (Sec. 170).

• Appropriates $96,000,000 dollars for costs associated with the Metro Link Extension from Scott Air Force Base to MidAmerica Airport (Sec. 175).

• Appropriates $225 million for costs associated with the Quad Cities Passenger Rail Project (Sec. 185).

• Appropriates $275 million dollars for costs associated with the Chicago to Rockford Intercity Passenger Rail expansion (Sec. 190).

• Appropriates $100 million for costs associated with the Chicago to Carbondale Passenger Rail improvements (Sec. 195).

• Appropriates $122 million for costs associated with the Springfield Rail Improvement Project (Sec. 200).

• Appropriates $400 million dollars for grants, road construction and all other costs relating to the Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency program (Sec. 205).
