Vote to pass a bill that requires climate change education in school curriculum.

Highlights:

• Requires the State Board of Education to make available curriculum materials available in developing instruction programs for topics including, but not limited to the following (Sec. 1):

• The Holocaust and genocide education and awareness;

• The historical events surrounding the Great Famine in Ireland;

• African-American history;

• Puerto Rican history and Latino studies;

• Native American history; and

• Climate change consistent with the Next Generation Science Standards.
