Highlights:

 

  • Appropriates $600 million to provide a grant to Puerto Rico for disaster nutrition assistance in response to a major disaster or emergency designated by the President under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (Sec. 104).

  • Appropriates $5 million to remain available until September 30, 2020 for the Secretary of Agriculture to conduct an independent study to compare the impact of the additional benefits provided to the food insecurity, health status, and well-being of low income residents in Puerto Rico (Sec. 105).

  • Appropriates $480 million to the Emergency Forest Restoration Program for necessary expenses related to the consequences of Hurricanes Michael and Florence, and wildfires occurring in 2018, tornadoes and floods occuring in 2019, and other natural disasters (Title I).

  • Appropriates $600 million to the Public Works and Economic Development Act for Economic Development Assistance Programs for necessary expenses related to flood mitigation, disaster relief, long-term recover, and restoration of infrastructure in areas that received a major disaster designation as a result of Hurricanes Florence, Michael, and Lane, Typhoons Tutu and Mangkhut, and wildfires, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and other natural disasters occurring in 2018, and tornadoes and floods occurring in 2019 under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief Emergency Assistance Act(Title II).

  • Appropriates $435 million to the Watershed and Flood Prevention Operations for necessary expenses related to the consequences of Hurricanes Michael and Florence, and wildfires, occurring in 2018, tornadoes and floods occurring in 2019, and other natural disasters (Title I).

  • Appropriates $150 million to the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act for the costs of grants for rural community facilities programs for necessary expenses related to the consequences of Hurricanes Michael and Florence, and wildfires, occurring in 2018, tornadoes and floods occurring in 2019, and other natural disasters (Title I).
