Title: Prohibits All Religious and Philosophical Vaccination Exemptions
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits all religious and philosophical vaccination exemptions for public school students.
Authorizes a child who is not immunized as required under the law for reasons other than a medical diagnosis to attend online educational courses (Sec. 2).
Prohibits a child who is not immunized as required under the law from attending any in person class, event or meeting and specifies certain medical vaccination exemptions (Sec. 2).
Defines “restricable diseases” as the following, including, but not limited to (Sec. 4):
Tetanus or polio;
Measles or mumps;
Diphtheria, pertussis, or rubella; or
Hepatitis A or B, varicella, or haemophilus influenzae type B.
Specifies that all students in grades Kindergarten through grade 12 to submit to school administrators a record file documenting that they have received immunizations against restrictable diseases (Sec. 8).
Authorizes students who are not immunized and have not provided to the school administrator written documentation on their immunization exemptions to attend school until August 1 2020 (Sec. 14).
Establishes that this act shall go into effect immediately upon passage (Sec. 17).
