Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the use of tanning beds by minors, effective immediately upon passage.

• Specifies that any person convicted of providing a tanning device to a minor shall be fined an amount of up to $500 or may be imprisoned in the county jail for up to 6 months, or both (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that any person convicted of a second offense of providing a tanning device to a minor shall be fined an amount of up to $1,000 or may be imprisoned in the county jail for up to 6 months, or both (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that an exemption from this bill is if a licensed physician or advanced practice registered nurse prescribes the use of a tanning bed for medical treatment (Sec. 2).
