Title: Requires Healthcare Providers Report Statutory Rape
Vote to pass a bill that requires healthcare providers report cares of statutory rape in order to receive Medicaid reimbursement.
Prohibits any provider from being eligible for medicaid reimbursement, or any other federal or state program if the provider has been found in a court of law to have failed to report a statutory rape as part of mandatory potential child abuse reporting laws (Sec. 3).
Specifies that any provider found to be ineligible for reimbursement under this act shall be able to reapply for reimbursement after a period of 5 years after showing that procedures have been put in place to provide for reporting(Sec. 3).
Authorizes the Oklahoma Health Care Authority to investigate complaints pursuant to the Defunding Statutory Rape Cover-up Act (Sec. 4).
Defines “provider” as a provider of services or compensation (Sec. 2).
Defines “affiliate” as an entity which licenses the use of a trademark or other recognized name provider which exercises control over the use of part or all of the provider’s name, or any entity that is licensed or controlled (Sec. 2).
Establishes that this act will become effective November 1, 2019 (Sec. 5).
