Title: Amends Marijuana Tax Funding

A vote to pass a bill that amends marijuana tax funding for use on mental health services.

Highlights:

 

  • Requires 20 percent of 80 percent of the money in the Oregon Marijuana Account to be used solely for mental health treatment or for alcohol and drug abuse prevention, early intervention and treatment (Sec. 1).

  • Requires 20 percent of the money in the Oregon Marijuana Account to be used solely in the manner that money in the Mental Health and Alcoholism and Drug Services Account can be used (Sec. 2).

  • Specifies that an emergency is declared to exist and that this Act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety (Sec. 4).
