Vote Smart's Synopsis:

Vote to concur with Senate amendment and pass a bill that raises the minimum age for tobacco products sales to 21.

Highlights:

• Prohibits individuals under the age of 21 from purchasing the following products, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):

• Tobacco products;

• Nicotine vapor products; and

• Alternative nicotine products.

• Exempts active duty military personnel who are over the age of 18 from these provisions and requires individuals show an identification card issued by the Armed Forces of the United States as a proof of age for this purpose (Sec. 1).
