Title: Requires Certain Candidates To Disclose Income Tax Returns
A vote to pass a bill that requires Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates to disclose income tax returns in order to appear on the ballot.
Requires President and Vice-President candidates to disclose federal income tax returns in order to appear on ballot (Sec. 1).
Prohibits Electoral College electors from voting for candidates who fail to file income tax returns (Sec. 1).
Requires that the candidates must file a copy of their federal income tax returns with the Division of Elections in the Department of State more than 50 days before the general election (Sec. 1).
Specifies that candidates need to submit at least the five most recent taxable years for which the candidate has filed a return with the Internal Revenue Service (Sec. 1).
Requires that President and Vice-President candidates to provide written consent to the division for the public disclosure of the income tax returns (Sec. 1).
Requires that the division post the filed income tax reforms on the division website no later than 7 days after the candidate has filed the returns with the division (Sec. 1).
