Title: Specifies Method of Vacancy Filling for US Senators
Vote to concur with House amendment and pass a bill that authorizes the Governor to appoint US Senators from a list presented by the State executive committee of the party of the previous senator.
Specifies that when a United States Senate seat is vacated, the governor will select from a list of 3 people recommended by the State Executive Committee of the same political party as the vacating member (Sec. 1).
Requires the recommendation be presented within 30 days of the vacation of the seat (Sec. 1).
