Title: Amend State Riverboat Gaming Laws
Vote to pass a bill that amends riverboat gaming laws.
Establishes that designated gaming areas of riverboats may not exceed 2365 gaming positions (Sec. 1).
Defines “gaming position” as a gaming device seat or a space at a table game, with each seat or space counting as one position towards the total (Sec. 1).
Specifies that a portion of the designated gaming area be located within 1200 feet of a riverboat’s licensed berth (Sec. 1).
Requires the quarterly reporting of professional services and employment information by a holder of a license to the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, Senate Committee on Judiciary B, and the House Committee on the Administration of Criminal Justice to include the following (Sec. 1):
The report required by R.S.27:21.1 and a specification as to whether an entity is a Louisiana business, a female-owned business, or a minority-owned business; and
A report of the demographic information of their workforce.
Specifies that all quarterly reports be submitted by certified mail no later than 20 days after the end of each quarter (Sec. 1).
Specifies that license holders are limited to holding no more than 4 tournaments a year, with each tournament lasting no more than fourteen days (Sec. 1).
Authorizes licensees to submit an application to the Louisiana Gaming Control Board for the purposes of relocating its gaming operations to a facility that remains within 1200 feet of the riverboats licensed berth (Sec. 1).
