Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that establishes further stipulations for welfare access.
Limits access to welfare benefits for an individual who owns a motor vehicle worth more than $40,000 (Sec. 2).
Requires the Department of Human Services to consider lottery winnings of $600 or more as an available resource when determining an individual’s eligibility for welfare benefits (Sec. 2).
Establishes a 10-year ban on access to welfare benefits for an individual convicted of certain drug-related crimes (Sec. 4).
Limits access to welfare benefits for a convicted sex offender who fails to comply with registration requirements (Sec. 4).
Prohibits an individual from using an electronic benefit transfer card at a casino or adult entertainment venue or to purchase alcohol (Sec. 5).
Requires an individual who is 64 or younger to pay a $5 fee for the first replacement of an electronic benefit transfer card and a $100 fee for each subsequent replacement (Sec. 5).
