Vote to pass a bill that increases access to affordable high quality heath insurance.
Appropriates $10 million annually to the Prevention and Wellness Trust Fund (Sec. 43).
Requires the secretary to expend no less than $15 million annually to community health centers based on financial needs (Sec. 47).
Authorizes the department to impose a fine of up to $10,000 on an individual or entity that advertises, announces, establishes, maintains an office-based surgical center without a license granted by the department (Sec. 63).
Requires the health policy commission to establish a one-time surcharge assessment on all acute hospitals (Sec. 103).
Requires a $75 surcharge on fees assessed for obtaining or renewing a license issued by the board of registration in podiatry, the board of registration in pharmacy, the board of registration in dentistry, the board of registration in optometry, and the board of registration of nursing (Sec. 109).
