Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that establishes policies on the distribution of funds returned to the state from community school.

Highlights:

• Specifies that if displaced enrollees cause the enrollment of a community school to increase by more than 20 percent that such community school will not be subject to closure for poor performance, provided that the school’s performance with the scores of displaced enrollees omitted would not be subject to disclosure (Sec. 3).

• Requires that the Department of Education ensure that any public funds returned to the state be credited to the state aid of the district from which the funding was deducted in cases where the state auditor issues a finding for recovery of funds pursuant to an audit of community school enrollment records  (Sec. 1).
