Title: Prohibits College Funds for Organizations that Promote Boycotts of Allied Nations
Vote to pass a bill that requires all public university boards of trustees to develop policies which prohibit college funds to organizations that promote boycotts of allied nations.
Requires all public state and community college boards of trustees to develop policies that prohibit funds from student organizations that directly or indirectly promote, encourage, or permit discrimination, intolerance, hate speech, or boycotts against allied nations (Sec. 1).
Defines “allied nation” as the following, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):
Any country that is a member of the North Atlantic Trade Organization; or
Ireland, Israel, Japan, or South Korea.
Defines “boycott” as engaging in any activity that encourages or promotes any action that results in abstaining from social, political, or commercial relations with an allied nation or company based in an allied nation with the intent to penalize or disrupt such allied nations economic production or stability (Sec. 1).
