Title: Exempts Oil Production from Sales Tax

Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill which exempts crude oil production from the retail sales tax.

  • Specifies that certain transfers related to the production of crude oil are exempt from the retail sales tax, including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 1):

    • Services provided in the construction of access roads;

    • Equipment and rigging used for drilling a well;

    • Drilling services including hydraulic fracturing, pressure pumping equipment, and trailers to which equipment is attached;

    • Motor vehicles;

    • Data collection and monitoring devices; and

    • Office supplies.

  • Authorizes state fire marshal to issue licenses for production and sale of fireworks beginning January 1, 2020 (Sec. 1).
