Title: Amends Definition of 'Misconduct' for Unemployment Purposes
Vote to pass a bill that amends the definition of "misconduct" for the purpose of unemployment benefits.
Requires disqualification for unemployment benefits for any individual who is discharged for misconduct connected with work because of the commission of an act punishable as a crime of the first, second, third, or fourth degree (Sec. 1).
Defines “misconduct” as conduct that is improper, intentional, within the individual’s control, not a good faith error of judgement or discretion, and is either a deliberate refusal to comply with the workplace rules or a disregard of the expected standards of behavior (Sec. 1).
