Vote to pass a bill that authorizes states to provide Medicaid services for certain individuals with opioid use disorders in institutions for mental diseases (IMDs).

Highlights:

• Authorizes state Medicaid programs to receive matching federal payments for services provided by IMDs to treat Medicaid-eligible individuals between the ages of 21 and 64 with certain substance abuse disorders (SUDs) (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that these changes apply to states with managed care Medicaid plans (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that managed care plans will not be paid more or less than they would have previously, as this bill simply authorizes them to use an additional provider under their already capitated Medicaid payment plan (Sec. 2).
