• Prohibits insurance companies from varying the premium rates for a health coverage plan based on the gender of the individual policyholder, enrollee, subscriber or member (Sec. 4).

• Specifies that this does not apply to insurance coverage for any of the following (Sec. 4):

• Disability income;

• Long-term care;

• Medicare supplement;

• Hospital confinement indemnity;
