Vote to pass a bill that repeals waivers that exempt individuals from Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program work requirements.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the Department of Human Services from applying for, accepting, or renewing any waivers of requirements established under the federal Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (Sec. 1).

• Requires that adult recipients of food assistance prove their compliance with at least one of the following options (Sec. 1):

• The recipient has been employed for an average of at least 20 hours per week;

• The recipient completes at least 24 hours of community service per month;

• The recipient is a full time student; or

• The recipient participates in a work program for at least 20 hours per week.
