Title: Standard Merger and Acquisition Reviews Through Equal Rules Act of 2018

Vote to pass a bill that authorizes the Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division of Department of Justice to amend their review procedures and standards related to proposed mergers, commonly referred to as the SMARTER Act.
Highlights:
- Authorizes the Attorney General of the United States or Federal Trade Commission to request and have available to them any investigative files or other materials relevant to a proposed merger that is allowed under law (Sec. 2).
