Vote on a motion to adopt an "ought to pass" report on a bill that prohibits discrimination based on gender identity.

Highlights:

• Prohibits discrimination based on gender identity in housing, employment and public accommodations (Secs. 1-5).

• Defines gender identity to mean an individual’s gender-related identity, appearance, or behavior, whether or not it is different from that which is traditionally associated with the person's physiology or assigned sex at birth (Sec. 2).

• Prohibits making any enquiry related to employment, housing, or public accommodations, that expresses directly or indirectly any preference based on gender identity, unless it involves a “bona fide occupational qualification” for a job (Secs. 3-5).
