Vote to pass a bill that establishes an education budget for fiscal year 2018-2019.

Highlights:

• Authorizes schools to spend 20 percent of state school aid on school security (Sec. 31a).

• Reduces funding by 10 percent for universities that fail to comply with requirements regarding Title IX investigations including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 265B):

• University must prohibit medical experts that have an actual or apparent conflict of interest;

• University must require that identical reports be issued to all interested parties;

• University must require that all complainants be informed of their right to contact law enforcement;

• University must provide in-person sexual misconduct prevention for freshmen and online prevention for transfer students; and

• University has or has plans to have a third party review of procedures by the end of the 2018-2019 school year.
